Ενότητα στη Θεία Λειτουργία!

"Especially in these times, this is not the time when we should be making any major interventions or giving major suggestions in society, socially, and I would even say spiritually. Do you know what this is now? This is what the Holy Scripture says: hide from everyone until the wrath of God has passed. What this means is that you should hide somewhere with a psalter, with the holy liturgy, with a few people who will help you with the holy liturgy, until the wrath of God passes. Now we have arrived in a time of God’s wrath. Whoever does not understand this now and seeks solutions for different problems, whether social, political, or even ecclesiastical problems, I think such a person is deeply blinded and still has not freed themselves from ideologies. Do not seek solutions for problems, whether they are ecclesiastical, political, social, or related to corruption. I’m telling you, fire is coming. Gather in your parishes, in your monasteries, in your homes. Cleansing and resolution, my Father, will not come now through protests, nor can I give you a solution. It is foolish to expect a solution from me. The solution will come through war. How many times do I need to repeat this? Unfortunately, you have come in August, when the Third World War could begin already tomorrow or the day after. War will give solutions, tragic solutions. Those who will survive will say to themselves, ‘What foolish things was I burdened with and occupied with when Europe itself, in the Olympics and in its vision, told us that their God is Lucifer?’ Do you understand this, Christians? Do you understand this, Muslims? These are the people who have told us this. We are now living through the collapse of a dream. That the Greeks, Cypriots, and Romanians want to become Europeans as if our Orthodox identity was not enough. And we found ourselves in a wrong dream, which was actually not a dream but a nightmare. The European perspective for all of us—Greeks, Romanians—has arrived, and the Frenchman, Macron, came and told us to our faces, ‘I don’t care about you Christians, you are just a religious group. We want a society where men marry men, women marry women, where there are no children, where we have problems with climate change, with food products, where you eat worms. We are interested in impurity, we are interested in sodomy. What do all these things have to do with Orthodoxy?’ And Moscow... Modern Romanians must understand that modern Moscow is not the Soviet Union. Maybe you have a problem with that, but your problem is not Western orientation; your problem is Eastern orientation. This is something we all need to understand—first the Muscovites, then the Greeks, Romanians, Serbs, Bulgarians, and wherever Orthodox Christians live. What will unite us is not Putin, not Patriarch Kirill’s patriarchate, not Bartholomew’s patriarchate, nor Patriarch Daniel’s patriarchate, but it is the Orthodox Divine Liturgy. I repeat, what will unite us is the Orthodox Holy Liturgy and the unity of faith. This last part is very important, and we forget it. How can I go to receive communion if I do not have unity of faith? Can you serve the Liturgy with a pastor or with the pope's vicar? No, and you should not. Why? Because there is no unity of faith. So instead of looking for what unites us, which is Orthodoxy, the unity of faith, we should, as bishops and priests, teach the people that faith. The faith that has sustained the Romanians for centuries, even though they were under Turkish slavery, even though they had conquerors, Soviets, and Ceausescu. And we Cypriots—I calculated—we Cypriots were slaves for 750 years. Can you believe it? Constantly under the Latins, Venetians, Ottomans, English, and now modern Turkey. A total of 750 years. Cyprus in the second millennium of the new era was free only from 1960 to 1974, just 14 years. That’s what will nourish the souls, and first of all, the souls of the Orthodox. We must be careful about our responsibility. We must first nourish ourselves in Orthodoxy, and then the Chinese, Indians, Africans, and Americans will come, many of them, not all. The Germans first, because there is a prophecy about the Germans. The Germans will be the first to ask us for the Orthodox faith, which will unite them with the Church, with one Church, and that is only the Orthodox Church. But in order to become a teacher, you must first become a disciple. And this is now our task: to become good disciples of the Orthodox saints.
