HOW CAN WE KNOW THAT ORTHODOXY IS THE ONLY TRUE FAITH?
JESUS CHRIST IS THE CENTRAL FOUNDATION OF OUR FAITH.
Orthodoxy is founded upon Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who became man for our salvation, was crucified, rose from the dead, and conquered death. He is the Head of the Church, the source of our salvation, and the foundation upon which the Orthodox Christian faith rests. All miracles, holy relics, the lives of the Saints, and the traditions of the Church must be understood in the light of Christ and His Resurrection.
If someone asks you, “How can it be proven that Orthodoxy is the only true faith?”, consider these signs and testimonies that Orthodox Christians regard as expressions of God’s grace and the truth of the Orthodox faith.
1. THE HOLY FIRE OF JERUSALEM
Every year on Holy Saturday, the Orthodox Church celebrates the miracle of the Holy Fire at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem. Orthodox believers regard this extraordinary event as a powerful testimony to the Resurrection of Christ and to the spiritual heritage of Orthodoxy.
2. THE EXORCISM OF DEMONS
The Orthodox Church has a long tradition of prayers of exorcism, invoking the name of Jesus Christ against demonic forces. Orthodox Christians testify to spiritual deliverance through prayer, fasting, repentance, and the grace of God.
3. THE HOLY RELICS OF THE SAINTS
Throughout the Orthodox world, countless holy relics are venerated by the faithful. Some have remained incorrupt, while others are associated with a fragrance or reported miraculous healings. These phenomena are regarded by Orthodox believers as signs of God’s grace.
4. THE MIRACLES OF THE PANAGIA AND THE SAINTS
Orthodox Christians throughout the centuries have testified to miracles associated with the Most Holy Theotokos (Panagia), the Saints, and miraculous icons. These testimonies strengthen the faith of believers and remind them of the continuing life of the Church in Christ.
5. HOLY WATER
In the Orthodox Church, water is blessed through specific prayers and the invocation of the Holy Spirit. Holy water is used in blessings and other sacred services. Many Orthodox believers testify that properly kept holy water has remained fresh for extraordinarily long periods.
6. THE MILLIONS OF MARTYRS
The Orthodox Church remembers countless martyrs who suffered persecution and gave their lives for Jesus Christ. From the earliest centuries to modern times, their courage and steadfast confession of the faith remain powerful witnesses to their devotion to Christ.
The blood of the martyrs testifies to the depth of their conviction and their love for Him.

CHRIST MUST ALWAYS REMAIN AT THE CENTER OF OUR FAITH.
The Holy Fire, the holy relics, the miraculous icons, the Holy Water, and the witness of the Saints all point us toward Jesus Christ. They are not ends in themselves, but reminders of His presence, His power, and His victory over death.
As our Lord Jesus Christ says:
“I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”
