the Turks will hold the island during that period.
Now I say, “Gerontas, look at us,” and he says, “We will suffer a lot.” He speaks about pain, and I ask how this pain will be expressed. He tells me there will be a very severe famine. It may not spread everywhere, but locally and on the island, something may happen — a landing, yes. And they can come and do it. We don’t know.
He went there, but he also analyzed another matter: widespread famine, chaos, and uncertainty, which means that the world will be shaken greatly, because this will be the beginning of war. Then he mentions that after a few months of occupation of the island, the Russians will come, he says, from Russia through the Straits. They need access to the Mediterranean Sea, and they need the Straits, because the Turks control all the tolls and everything else. So the Turks will see the Russians coming, and they will withdraw and occupy other areas. They will pull out their troops and leave us, not wanting the Russians to come to help us. So the Turks will abandon us.
This will then happen in Constantinople. And then he says that other states — seven states — will tell the Europeans that the Russians are taking important areas, and they will say, “We also don’t want to stay out; we want to get a piece too.” He said this very practically, so it is clear that the Europeans will also enter this conflict.
I asked this adviser, “What will the Greek army do?” He told me that the government will decide — but what that decision will be, he did not say. Namely, not to send troops. We will keep our army out of it, and that will be a great blessing, because whoever takes part will lose. No one will return a winner. They will all be destroyed. They will be thrown against one another and devour each other. Spiritual laws will be at work.
But we, the people in Greece, apart from famine, will suffer, and many of us will be miserable from hunger. Yet this will also become an opportunity for us to draw closer to God. Everyone will turn to God. There will be repentance in a sense. I say, repentance in a sense, yes — that is why God allows this, because we had gone astray. Only through war, sadly, do we remember God.
At least we will remember Him, and this faith will remain. This will be a time when God will give much grace. God will have mercy on the Greeks here, because we will all turn to prayer and to the churches. We will suffer, and we will call out, and we will pray. We will not suffer as much as other nations, which will lose so much human potential, so many people, and so on. This pain will serve a good purpose.
You can see it even now, with this crisis, how people are coming closer, helping one another, showing solidarity. And of course, we see that after the Resurrection, after suffering, something good comes. God allows something only when He knows it will turn out for the better.
We clearly see now, after so many years since the elder spoke about these things, that we are very close. Anyone who doubts the fulfillment of the elder’s words would have to be foolish. Now the chessboard is visible, and everything is beginning to fall into place. Slowly, the prophecies are taking shape and preparing to be fulfilled.
The elder told me these things many years ago — about 25 years ago — and he said to me, “Do not speak about these things now, because if you do, they will think you are mad. The time was not right. The circumstances were not ripe.” Back then, there was no deadline, and Turkey had not yet been pushed toward dissolution.
Now you see that foreign interests want to involve Turkey to remove it from the way, because it has dragged on too long. And what I can say is that it will happen just as the elder in Arisa said: the time of reckoning will come, and the appropriate laws will take effect. He also told me that King Constantine will return, and then everything will be finished.
